I made this picture when I was at the bottom of my life, when everything wasn't working out. It took me three days to make it.
The image is a compilation of a moon and Vincent from Final Fantasy 7.
I made the title Time because of many things, not because I think he wants to knwo the time.
Emotions are experienced over a period of time. You can almost feel it pass if you focus on it. I also called it Time because of the way the character is looking. You can see that he is looking off into the distance, thinking about things, passing the time pondering about higher things.
I put the moon in the background because it makes the picture seem to be above the simple things in the world which blind people and make them stupid to these concepts.
Also, coincidentally, I chose Vincent as my character because of his story in Final Fantasy 7. At the time of creation I was extremely emotional. I was going through a loss of love. Vincent in the storyline (skip if you don't want spoilers) lost his lover, and went through a long period of sadness where he lay in a coffin just wanting to die. In the end Vincent gets to see his love one more time. Lucky for me I still seem to follow in his footsteps.
...it didn't occur to me to stop and think about why some of those things were in the picture as they were. It escapes me to think that there is symbolism used in pictures....although there is much symbolism hidden in my drawings.
but...I won't pont them out unless you ask me to.
..if I can find the damn things.
but that is awesome how you have that set up.
*stares for a moment*
very nice...
*kiss*
.nicely set up...and yes, that is an odd but damn interesting coincidence to hear about you and Vice...*knows what you're referring to*
I can also remember you saying something about people having 8 emotions..
..was it 8? *just got done counting how many you listed*
Reguardless....hearing you say that...I know now that his picture is very..I don't know what a good word would be...sentimental or close to you.
I feel a fool for not asking that before.
*wants to ask about more*
Personally... I love symbolism. Perhaps it's because I can actually see it in media, as opposed to your ability to find the artistic qualities in things.
At the time I made the image I was thinking a lot about what I was feeling, so I put a lot of symbolism into the image to show it. There's actually more in it than what I wrote, but it would take a long amount of time to remember exactly why I chose each thing.
As for the sentiment. Yes this picture is very dear to my heart. It reminds me of what I felt like back then and what awesome (and some not so awesome) things have happened since.
eh..
this is my 200th deviation comment.
I would reply...but I am distracted at the 200th comment and the fact that there's not really anything that I have commented on. Somehow that amuses me...
